What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Dry Lips While On Adilip?

my age is 35 and my tryglicerides is 550.I am takinf Adilip and altimarine forte.But since i have started taking the medicine, i have lost my appetite, ie, i do not wish to eat anything and im feeling heavy stomach always.Simultaneously, i am having extremely dried lips round the clock. I have started using Olive oil in my food.I take 1 glass of milk (dairy non creamy) daily.My diet is: 3 chapatis in the morning, 5 chapatis in the noon, 1 bowl of roasted chooda in the evening, 3-4 chapatis at night and i glass of milk.I take appx. 1.5-2lt of water in a day. Kindly suggest me why im having dries lips and loss of appetite and do i need to change my diet

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of loss of appetite and dry lips while on Adilip which is known as fenofibrate and is not majorly considered for weight loss but yes it causes muscle pain, weakness on long term use as it is used to reduced triglycerides in diet. Dry lips could be due to this as it increases high density lipoproteins. I would suggest you to visit general physician once and get your medication revised if it is really troubling you. Drink plenty of water to maintain hydration in body. Apply petroleum jelly on lips. Take alternative course of diet to increase your appetite. Take diet rich in fibers and fruits.
