What Causes Loss Of Appetite And Insomnia In A Lung Cancer Patient?

my father has stage 4 lung cancer- he was a smoker for 65 yrs- quit- 1 yr in july 77yrs old he has undergone chemo, he did well with the first round but the 2nd he was very sick- he has decided to stop all treatments he has flu like symptoms- achy all over cold and hot but no fever he uses the 75 mcg fentanyl patches along with oxycodone 5mg acetaminophen 325 mg hes not sleeping, cat napping during the day and up all night- he doesnt have an appeitite, and when he eats anything hot- it makes him sweat im not sure what to do. any suggestions- is this normal and part of the cancer? thank you for any help

Hi

Your father is suffering from stage 4 lung cancer.
Aim of treatment during this stage is basic supportive care.
Average survival time is 6 to 9 months.
For insomnia u can give him tab alprazolam 0.5 mg.
Total parenteral nutrition can be given by veins if he has no appetite orally.
