What Causes Loss Of Balance After Having A Surgery On Right Cerebellum?

I had surgery in 1992 for an AVM in the rt. cerebellum. It was resected and blood flow either rerouted or cut off. Now I have random episodes of falling over toward the left, without warning and no other symptoms. The problems has been coming on slowly for the last 10 years, but now rapidly getting worse. I am due for a CTA in a week. Could a hidden or recurrent AVM (hidden by encephalogmalacia) or encepalomalacia be the cause of the problem?
