What Causes Loss Of Taste And Smell While Suffering From Sinusitis?

On February 1st, I developed a sinus/cold infection. I was given an antibiotic and steroid to combat the infection. During the time I was taking the prescription, I completely lost my sense of taste and smell. I went back to the doctor at the end of February because I still had the congestion and lack of senses. Shortly after, I felt 100% better, but I didn t regain my sense of taste or smell. I now have a bad taste in my mouth (similar to the taste of nail polish removal) but still have a dulled since of taste and very little since of smell. Is this something that will go away over time or is this a symptom of something more serious?
