What Causes Loss Of Voice When Suffering From Sore Throat?

I had a very brief cold a few weeks ago.Started with a sore throat then I was actually sick (headache, slight fever) for 24-36 hours.It has been over a week now,I feel fine but I cant seem to get my voice back.I suck on throat drops as I am in meetings most of the day and need my voice.it isn t painful,very slight discomfort but not getting any better.Thoughts?

Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, what the condition described here could be due to allergic condition, it is the self limiting condition but may need antihistamine if needed and best medicine would be Tab Loratadine three times in day, it can be due to hyperacidity too and it can be given try with Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day, try some saline water gargle hope this information helps.
