What Causes Loss Of Voice?

Hi there, I've lost my voice. This is the second time this month. The first time I just didn't speak much and I let it pass. This time however I needed to go to work so to not call in sick I tried gargling warm water with salt. Once I spat the water I noticed a bit of blood. What could this be?

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.


Any respiratory infection, can involve voice box and can cause voice loss or hoarse voice and blood in cough.


You need to do steam inhalation, voice rest and a course of antibiotic and cough supressents for cough. visit a local doctor for antibiotic course.
