What Causes Loss Of Weight And Hair At The Age Of 40?

I did not know I would get a person, I was just surching the net for information. I am 57 and have been post menopause since age 40. In the last five years I have had a Hugh weight loss . Twenty six pounds and my hair has been falling out and is getting more severe. I have had everything checked from neck down and it has all been nl. Was wondering if hormones may be the reason

Well come to HCM
If there is history of weight loss then this need to be investigated and in my opinion Thyroid dysfunction need to be ruled out along with that other etiology also need to be ruled out but this is only possible when some associated symptoms are there, hope this helps.
