Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

Betnovate contains a potent steroid betamethasone valerate and steroid for acne are never a good idea!! They would leave behind more acne once you stop it and even while you are applying it.

If I was your treating doctor I would have asked you to use a topical antiacne gel e.g either clindamycin or benzoyl peroxide gel twice daily. I would suggest that you see a dermatologist, your dermatologist might also feel the need to start you on oral antibiotics like either doxycycline or azithromycin for 4-12 weeks depending on the severity of your acne.

regards
