What Causes Low BP Reading In The Morning Time?

Hi, Doctor Rynne. I did not realize this was this kind of site. I was just curious about a low BP reading this morning... 102/50. 63 years old, 15 kilos overweight, insulin dependent diabetic, the whole endocrine syndrome catalog. CABG five years ago. I am, cautiously, re-titrating some of my meds - amlodipine, carvedelol, and hydroclorothiazide. Living in Thailand now, and have not hooked up with a cardiologist yet.

Hi,

Though the reading may be low compared to your normal blood pressure readings, it would still be considered to be normal. If you are having symptoms related to the reading, e.g. weakness or clammy feeling etc., then you may need to slightly increase your fluid intake to alter it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
