What Causes Low RBC Count?

I went for a annual exam in December and my urinalysis showed that my RBC s were 20-40. I went back in February and they were down to 3-5. I went back yesterday and they are still the same (3-5). Should I be concerned? I m a 47 year old female weighing 180 pounds.

Hello,

If urine is collected during menstruation then you may get RBC normally.

In case of urinary tract infection or ureteric or renal calculi or cystitis may present RBC.

Get it done RBC morphology by microscopy. If it is dismorphed means originating from kidney or normal morphology means originating from the lower urinary tract.

Then please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
