What Causes Low WBC Count While On Citalopram?

I have been taking 20mg citalopram for 3 years. My white blood cell count has reduced over that time to a very low level. I halved my dose to 10mg daily and a blood test 10 days later showed my white cell count had come back up to just within normal range. Would citalopram cause low white blood count?

You should know that Citalopram could reduce the WBC count. I suggest to speak with your doctor to reduce the dosage or not.

I hope my answer helps you.
