What Causes Low Alkaline Phosphatase Level In Blood?

my husband had colon resection 10 years ago due to tumor. lately having abdominal pain, vomiting, non alcohol drinker. lab test show alkaline phosphatase is low at 49. mch is a tad high at 31.7. glucose high as well. should we be terribly concerned regarding the alkaline phosphatase low level? if so, what concerns?

Hi. Do not worry for the decreased alkaline phosphatase levels. Decreased are not associated with disease. He should be treated for high glucose. For complaints of vomiting, you should contact your family doctor. As he had history of cancer, he should be regularly under follow up of his treating doctor. Take care
