What Causes Low Basal Temperature, fatigue And General Weakness?
My basal temperatures for a period of 5 days has been averaging 35 and lower. I am soooo fatigued, weight gain even though I exercise regularly and eat right. Find trouble in getting out of bed. Head ache frequently feel low and like shit. I am on HRT. Does this sound like Thyroid problems??
Hello, Welcome to HCM and thank you for your question. Your symptoms tell for an probable low thyroid function. The thyroid hormones are responsable for maintaining the body metabolism, and when their level is lower than the normal, it means that your body ''works'' slow, you put on wight, feel sleepy, feel fatigue, low body temp. ect. I would recommend you to measure the thyroid hormone level (TSH,FT4,FT3) to confirm the diagnosis of hypothyroidisim and when it will be confirmed you must start the treatment with hormonal therapy (levothyroxine). Hope my opinion is somewhat helpful. Best regards, Dr.Guni
