Hello welcome to HCM.
I have sympathy for you as ur husband has having heart attack.
Let me clear something with you that after a heart attack some heart muscle permanently ceased to function but some recovery usually occurs after 3-6 months. Due to defective pumping of the heart the BP will remain low to normal.
Now coming to your case.. I am advising you to just reduce the dose of metoprolol to once a day in morning, because high dose reduces BP and heart rate both. But DOSE REDUCTION CAN ONLY BE DONE BY YOUR TREATING DOC, I AM JUST GUIDING YOU. so don't do self medication . He needs to undergo 2d echocardiography which will give idea about pumping of the heart. I presume that angiography has been done and if not done then it is highly recommended to prevent future heart attack.
At present nothing to get panic, slightly reduced BP is usual after recent heart attack and it's also effect of metoprolol..
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
