What Causes Low Blood Pressure After Removal Of Liver?

My sister had some of her liver removed which was cancerous...her blood pressure has been low occassionally....but today she has been hospitalised because she has an infection ( not known yet where ) and her blood pressure was on the floor could it be septecemia

Hi,

Yes, there is quite a possibility that it may be a septic shock. One common causes of low blood pressure are sepsis and in context of her history, this is the very likely cause. Though other causes should be ruled out like cardiac causes etc.
