What Causes Low Blood Pressure Levels?

My bloodpressure reading tonight is 107/71. I recently started a prescription of losartan with a diuretic. And I have been seeing a lower reading. But is this too low? My doctor thought that the regular losartan was not working as I was still having numbers 140 or even 160 sometimes.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

This would not be considered to low, the lower limit of blood pressure is 90/60 but some persons have that reading and have no symptoms.

Once there are no symptoms of low blood pressure then no treatment is initiated unless the readings are very low.

Your reading of 107/71 is still within normal range but if you are not feeling well at that level then you should speak to your doctor.

I hope this helps
