Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My body is extremely cold, where I m in sweats, sweatpants, slippers, and I m in bed wrapped up like a cocoon, and my electric blanket is on the high setting. But yet, my body temperature is normal. I don t know if I should see my doctor or not. I don t know what I should do. Can you please help me?
If you're exposing to cold environment, it may cause hypoproteinemia. It is considered normal in all. Certain medical conditions such as diabetes and thyroid conditions, some medicines, severe trauma, or using drugs or alcohol all increase the risk of hypothermia.
Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
