What Causes Low Fever With Sore Throat And Dry Coughs?

Hi, i'm been ill over 10 days. The first week was like a normal flu but now i have low fieber, sore throat, irritating tickly throat, dry coughs and coughs with flem. I have been at the doctor but she told me to take just pain killers like paracetamol and thats what i'm doing but any better. I can't sleep in the night because of my cough and beeing sick (strong vomits because of the cough) and problems to breath. I can hardly Swallow because of the pain in my throat. I don't know what else to do and if i should go to a hospital. Hope you can help me. Thanks

Hi, looking at your symptoms, you are suffering from throat infection.

If I was your treating doctor, I would had given the following treatment to you:Antibiotics (like Cefixime),Analgesics (like Ibuprofen),Antipyretic (like paracetamol )if feverAntacid (like Rantac),Antihistaminic(like Cetrizine) and a Cough Suppressant ( like containing
Dextromethorphan)
You should avoid cold/spicy/oily food. Drink lots of warm fluids.Do Warm Saline Gargles.Avoid dust and other pollutants.
Still if you are not feeling better,you should consult an ENT specialist doctor.
