What Causes Low Grade Fever After Recovering From Chest Infection?
I have had a bad virus, but not the actual flu, was on atibiotics for 2 weeks because of infection in chest. That is gone now but still am having fever from 99.5-99.9 which gets higher each evenin, like now. Also noticed with stringy residue in mouth when fever rises...What is this residue?

-Chest x-ray
-CBC and blood culture if needed
-Throat swab
According to reports, further management plan decided.
If it is influenza by throat swab testing than antiviral medication prescribed for that like oseltamivir.
