What Causes Low Grade Fever Along With Eczema All Over The Body?
Hi, I have been running a low grade fever on and off for the past 9 months. No I m not pregnant. I m 38 years old and also broke out with eczema all over my body which I haven t had since I was a child. I have inflammation and swelling of joints, specifically fingers and knees. I also run 3-6 miles 4-5 days per week. Sometimes I swear a rust color which is strange. I did quit smoking in October of last year. I also changed my diet to eliminate wheat, soy, and a few other things. Could this be rheumatoid arthritis or some other autoimmune disorder?
Hello Dear. There is a possibility that you might have rheumatoid arthritis. Signs like early morning stiffness of joints especially small joints of hands, nodules over the skin typically suggest rheumatoid arthritis. You need to consult an orthopedician or preferably a rheumatologist. Henwill do some blood tests to look for rheumatoid factor. If treated positive you will be put on treatment. Other possibility is gout, where Uris acid levels in blood has to be seen. Anycase you consult orthopedician soon. All the best. With regards Dr Sanjay Kini
