What Causes Low Grade Fever And Fatigue After Food Poisoning?

Hi, I m a 28 year old female and I had salmonella food poisoning a few weeks ago (diagnosed via stool sample). I was treated with a 7 day course of antibiotics (cipro) which I finished 6 days ago. Although I m feeling a lot better, I still have a low grade fever (37.6) and get quite tired. Is this normal or could something still be wrong? Thanks

Hello,

It all depends on how much dosage of antibiotics you have taken. First, you need to get a blood culture done to know whether your infection has subsided or not. Or else you need to be treated again for the same. Need to take nutritional food to get better and rest for some time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Archana
