What Causes Low Grade Fever In A Child?

My son is 21 mo s old. He had a low grade fever for about 36 hrs with no other symptoms. We treated with Tylenol and plenty of fluids. Since getting his fever down he has been extremely lethargic, will not eat or drink much, and is just tired, cries, is cranky and whiny. He is also constipated. Which is troubling because he won t drink anything. He s been this way for 48 hrs now. Any recommendations?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi dear,
Excessive crying, poor oral acceptance and lethargy despite control of fever with antipyretic indicates an ongoing systemic infection that need antibiotic treatment without any delay.
Kindly take him to your doctor.
Wishing for a faster cure.
Thank you.
