What Causes Low Grade Fever While Treating Breast Cancer?

I have had 4 weeks of radiation for 0 level breast cancer. My low grade fevers (101) started within 3 hours of the first treatment. My energy is returning; however, I still am experiencing the fevers about every other afternoon or evening. My radiologist said that is not a side effect of radiation and my GP ran blood tests and said I am very healthy! What is my next step?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The low grade fever indicates underlying malaise and body response to radiation dosage. Plenty of liquids and balanced nutritious diet with supportive anti pyretic as paracetamol or acetaminophen will take best care of the issue.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
