What Causes Low Heart Rate While On A Pace Maker?

My father has a pacemaker which my understanding is it should kick in if his heartrate goes below 60. This evening it was in the 40s and did not budge. He is in a facility. I brought it to the nurse s attention. His pacemaker was put in about 6-1/2 years ago. He is 98 years old.

Dear just check your father blood pressure or infection status. also check the battery of pace maker. Usually pacemaker durability is 10years but some people it may damage early.


Please consult your cardiologist and they will examine and treat you accordingly.
