What Causes Low Libido?

I am an 19 year old female. About 5 years ago I started to get a vaginal discharge, every single day I needed to use a panyliner, I went to the gynecologist and she did a vaginoscopy and told me that my uterus lining looked like a 70 year old :( gave me an estrogen cream to use for a little bit. Not sure if I remember if it really did anything. Anyway, I have a boyfriend of 2 years and I do not have any desire for sexual relations, we have had intercourse but I just have no sex drive, could it be a lack of estrogen?

Oncologist 's  Response
Hi,

Any number of things, some physical and some psychological. Sometimes it's both. Physical issues that can cause low libido include low testosterone, prescription medicines, too little or too much exercise, and alcohol and drug use. Psychological issues can include depression, stress, and problems in your relationship.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Esmeralda Sera, Oncologist
