What Causes Low Libido?

I m wondering what type of doctor I need to see about my problem. I am a woman, and I have absolutely no libido whatsoever. It s concerning me now because I do worry I m going to lose my husband due to the lack of sex life. It also poses a problem in the baby making area, as we want a family. I m 34 years old, I don t have my menstrual cycle without help...birth control or another aid. And birth control kind of defeats the purpose when trying to conceive. I ve been to an OBGYN and have tried 2 rounds of Clomid with no luck. Wondering who I could see to help with the libido issue as I need to sort that out so I don t hurt my marriage more.

Hello,

Decreased libido may be because of hormonal imbalance. Check for complete thyroid profile, FSH, LH and prolactin. Decreased thyroid hormones may also cause decreased libido.

My suggestion is, please consult fertility specialist and gets your doubts clarified.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
