What Causes Low Magnesium Levels During Chemotherapy?

Hello, I am suffering from low magnesium due to chemo treatment. I have been getting weekly infusions at my cancer since February. I was sent to a kidney doctor a month ago. He prescribed AMILoride 5mg once a day. Today I had to have another infusion. My magnesium registered 0.7. I had a colonoscopy 2 weeks ago. All went well. I am frustrated because I was told today to call my kidney doc and tell him the med he prescribed is not working. Any suggestions?

I suggest consulting with all reports as a scanned copy in follow up the conversation for better guidelines.
