What Causes Low Palette Count?

Just completed blood work physical. All good except low palette count. Not real low but just lower than min desired range. I don't have the number reading but was about 5 point lower than min desired. Dr advised not of concern but wanted to watch next time need for blood testing. No prior history noted. Age 63; 6'; white male, 40 lbs over weight; otherwise good health. ??

Hi, dear.
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have only slightly decreased platelets count. Even mild viral infection can leads to this. It may be a part of normal variation. So its not a cause of concern.
If you have any signs of bleeding then consult your doctor. Otherwise just go for repeat test after a month according to your doctor's advice. You are healthy and no any treatment is required.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health.
