General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Low pulse rate is normal in individual doing the routine physical activity as in athletes and army men.

You can consult a physician and get an echo test to check the pumping action of your heart. A serial ECG monitoring also required.

If the pumping is good, then nothing much to worry and no definite treatment is required.

If the doctor suspects any rhythm anomalies or poor pumping, drugs have to be started.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
