What Causes Low Red Blood Cells Count?

I have been told I have a low red blood cell count. I have episodes where if I stand up to walk I might become light headed and fall, or hold on until the lightheadedness goes was away. Could the low red blood cell countryside the lightheadedness? Female 66 years old

The most common cause of anemia is low irons levels. To be able to establish the exact cause, I need to have copy of your results as elements to establish the cause are discernible from these reports. Kindly upload them on our portal for interpretation and more insights on this.
