Hi There, My morning, fasting test results show the following:
Normal Ferritin & Iron but low TIBC and elevated Saturation Low Cortisol, Low Sodium, Low Bicarb Low Alkaline Phosataphase
My hormones are are all over the place as well.
My initial research suggests:
Possible Addison's (cortisol, sodium, Bicarb) Possible Copper Overload (Iron problems, Alkaline Phosataphase) Possible Pituitary or Hypothalamus Function Problems.
Hello, Thank you for asking on HCM! Low cortisol level is a very important test and needs further evaluation. It may be due to adrenal gland insufficiency (Addison disease) or due to Pituitary insufficiency. You should immediately see a physician and start treatment as he will suggest.
