What Causes Lower Abdominal And Back Pain When Diagnosed With Ovarian Cyst?

I am having severe a lower stomach pains, and lower back pain. they feel like contractions, I am not pregnant. I am on birth control. I do have a small cyst on one of my ovaries. The pain gets really intense and then subsides for a few minutes but never fully goes away. I am not due to start my cycle for another 4 days, but have started spotting. The pain has been going on for almost 4 hours. Should I go to the er?

Hello,

Try diclofenac and see if that helps. Your symptoms could also be caused by a kidney stone, which is visible on a computed tomography scan.
