What Causes Lower Abdominal Cramps Along With Nausea?

Hello, I am a 23 year old female. I am having a stomach pain in my lower stomach. Kind of like period cramps but more faint. I am feeling a bit nauseous and it is mainly hurting on my right side. I usually have normal periods however have missed my period the past two months. I have take countless pregnancy tests that have came out negative. I dont want to go to the hospital unless it is an emergency. Please what can I do??? Is this something I need to be worried about? is there any possibility that I am pregnant?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have lower abdominal cramps along with nausea. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , panic attack , irritable bowel syndrome , food poisoning , lactose intolerance or giardiasis . I would suggest you to eat light , non spicy , avoid food like nuts and sea food , take antacid , take over the counter anti histamine like benadryl and drink lukewarm water . I condition doesn't get well then consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound or endoscopy . Doctor may prescribe laxative , omeprazole , ornidazole or albendazole . For now apply warm compresses to lower abdomen and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Doctor may also refer you to gynecologist for inflammation or infection in ovary .
