What Causes Lower Abdominal Cramps And Back Pain Post Intercourse?

Hi doc, I m not usually feeling like this but 2 week ago on saturday it was my 1st day spotted of my period n I had unprotected intercourse and the next day I didn t get my period, the next suppose to be flowing but stopped. The 3 to 4th the day after intercourse I experienced cramp under my lower part of tummy and back ache and that went for couple of days I thought I was pregnant until Saturday I had 1 day period and stopped again. Now this week is going for my 2nd week and experiencing weird things in body like something like air bubble under my tummy and felt like throwing up. What does this mean? I m kind of freaking out!

Dear thanks for the question

You have difficult menstruation. Most probably it was not complete, that's causing this spotting and irregularities in your periods. I advise my patients with such complaints to do ultrasound scan of uterus, which will provide the details. Depending on the report I decide next treatment. Norethisterone is the medicine to regularise the periods if there is no significant abnormalities in scan.

Chances of pregnancy is not there with such symptoms or ultrasound scan will rule out that too.
