What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain After Acute Coughing?

I was coughing persuasively and something in my lower abdomen popped and now I am having constant pain right were it popped about 2inches directly under my belly button. As I am female I am scared of the outcome and am wondering if I should see my physician?

In my opinion Surgery is advised urgently
