What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain After Fertility Treatment?

Its my 7th day after transfer of 3 day embryo in IVF treatment. The lower abdominal pain and the lower back pain which is quite similar to the pain just before the onset of periods is disturbing a lot. Is it normal to have such pain? This is my 3rd attempt of IVF and is surely the last one. I am very much worried about the pain and discomfort I am experiencing.

Hi, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Pain after embryo transfer can be due to implantation of embyo in the uterus and the resultant uterine cramping. It can also be due to associated pelvic inflammatory disease or ectopic implantation of embryo.
I would suggest you to consult your doctor and get properly examined, investigated and treated accordingly.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
