What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain During 17 Weeks Of Pregnancy?

I m 17 weeks pregnant with my first child. I am 26 years old. I don t have any medical problems or history of. I started having lower stomach pain and had an ultrasound done yesterday and they called with the results today & told me my spleen is enlarged. My kidneys and bladder are fine. Should I be worried? Is there anything naturally I can do to help this?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, abdomen pain at 17th week of pregnancy with enlarged spleen can be part of underlying infection, low hemoglobin or else which makes secondary changes in the immune system organ that of spleen. I would like to address further with details of ultrasound plates, any lab data available on hand with you to correlate more precisely and guide you accordingly. Till that time, you should not be panic for the report as it is curable condition for sure. Should start consuming high protein and iron diet as well.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
