What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain In A 36-year-old?

I had a dull constant pain in my lower right abdomen and right side of lower yesterday for 8 hrs, then when I woke up the next day the pain was still there but more pronounced when walking. Throughout the day today not very much. Now this evening the pain I have it sharp when touched. I have had a constant temp of 99.1 since yesterday. I am 36 yrs old and female. I also have an IUD. Any idea what this could be? My health insurance starts march 1st.

Hello,

Right lower abdominal pain may be due to appendicitis or right ureteric calculi or ovarian cyst or torsion etc.

Until examination is done by ultrasound abdomen it is difficult to say what it is.

Please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
