What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Post Inhalation Of Bleach Fumes?

Hello, I was cleaning my toilet and tub with Clorox bleach spray. I must admit, I did go a bit overboard with the bleach spray and was on my knees cleaning the tub so I had inhaled a lot of it. I couldn t smell anything other than bleach for about 5 hours and that includes a short nap that I took and waking up still only smelling bleach. My tummy began to hurt a lot, I was having severe lower abdominal pains then, ended up vomiting. My stomach still hurts but not as bad. I d just like to know if I should go to the emergency room. Thank you.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It might be due to anxiety.

Bleaching fumes do not cause abdominal pain.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief.

If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
