What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain Post Recovery From Diarrhea?

I had severe diarrhea that lasted only about 7 hours. It ended about 24 hours ago. Now I m having soreness in my lower abdomen that hurts worse when I lean over or create any pressure in my abdomen. Is this just the result of yesterday s diarrhea? I don t remember having this residual pain before.

Hi, the pain in your lower abdomen is most possibly due to the strain of your abdominal muscles as a result of the severe diarrhoea. You could take some paracetamol and see if the pain settles. If it still remains the same intensity or worsens please consult your doctor.

Thank you
