What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain When Applying Pressure?

I have lower abdominal pain on both sides. It feels the same as if you really need to go to the toilet but I don t. The pain intensifies when wind enters the back passage to be expelled. I have no diahorrea and my stools are normal with no blood. My lower abdomen is painful if I apply pressure.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Since the pain is at the sides, it is possible that it may be related to muscle inflammation or injury but this may need to be assessed by your doctor if it continues.

If there is a history of physical activity which may have caused injury to the abdominal muscles then this may be the reason for the discomfort.

If there are any additional symptoms such as a loss of appetite, vomiting or fever, a change in bowel movements- then you should be assessed as soon as possible.

I hope this helps
