What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain?

My son, 22 yo, is having moderate lower abdominal cramping. He is tall, thin and has some history of intestinal problems although never formally diagnosed. Ruled out major symptoms for appendicitis. No vomiting or fever but pain. No diarrhea or constipation. If IBS or food allergy, what is best approach right now to decrease discomfort?

HI
Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.

For the time being avoid non veg food , Milk and dairy products . Give him more vegetables except for Potato . Give him more of Fruits .

But he needs to be evaluated for the cause of problem . Apart from IBS or Allergy other probable causes are Intestinal Infection . I advise you to get Stool Routine test and Ultrasound Abdomen Pelvis scan done and revert back to me .

If pain is severe better you consult the doctor soon .

Any clarifications or Queries feel free to ask.
Happy to help you.
Regards.
