General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Pain with menstruation is normal and this is mostly in the lower abdomen. I would advise her to use Ibuprofen 600 mg every 6-8 hours after food and if it is not much better she may also take Buscopan 10 mg, 2 tablets to release spasms in the womb and thus release the pain.

If she is not better with these medications she will need to see a doctor and rule out other causes of low abdominal pain.

I hope this answers your query and is helpful to you. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
