What Causes Lower Abdominal Pain, fatigue And Frequent Urge To Urinate Before Periods?
Hi. 1week to 10days before my periods I suffer with lower abdominal pain, its been there from last 4 years. From last two months, I have started feeling urge to urinate, and When the pain comes I will be relaxed after 5-10min by relaxing under fan air. During these days, I feel bloated, gastric, tired, anxiety and fatigue for sometimes small or stressful physical work. stools and urination are real urgent during these days.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, I understand your concern. * The lower abdominal pain& fatigue before periods are due to contractions of uterine muscles/ hormonal changes before menses. .When the intensity of the pain is much more ,it may result in Urge to urinate can be present. * Bloated stomach, anxiety, fatigue with work can again be attributed to- hormonal changes & psychological changes in premenstrual state. * Exaggerated symptoms can be treated well with hormonal treatment / pain relievers after clinical examination by a gynecologist. * If the symptoms persist after periods , investigations & treatment for those factors( urge to urinate/ passing motions) are indicated. Thanks.
