What Causes Lower Back And Abdominal Pain With Pink Vaginal Discharge?
18 year old daughter with pain in lower back and lower part of stomach are hurting! She also has painful urination! The last time she urinated she noticed a tiny bit of pink on the toilet paper after wiping! Wondering if we need to go to ER tonight! Email: YYYY@YYYY
Clinical features of a bladder infection include- a frequent, urgent require to urinate, frequent urination at night, lower abdominal pain, backache, painful urination etc. Again, urinary tract infections or UTIs result from bacterial infections in the urinary tract while yeast infections occur due to an overgrowth of the candida fungus. Yeast infections cause itching, pain and odorless vaginal discharge.
UTIs on the other hand, cause urinary symptoms like abdominal pain, a frequent urge to urinate and painful urination. Vaginal pink discharge at the starting and end of bleeding with someone's menstrual cycle is normal. Menstrual bleeding may mix with vaginal secretions on its way out of the vagina, diluting its red hue. Another possibility is irregular menstruation. Your daughter should consult her gynecologist for further evaluation and treatment purposes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
