What Causes Lower Back And Stomach Pain After Taking Imipramine?
I am taking imipramine hcl. for bladder control. After surgery and contracting 5 post-op infections. After 4 months of IV anticotics around the clock, and 5 more months of my body healing itself.......I am infection free. The specialist put me on this medication to help control my leaking & ability to hold urine. (Catherater for 4 mo s). The medication works great....but started having low back pain and lower stomach pain. Is this normal? Been on med for 2 weeks? 66 yrs old.....in good health & walk daily. Thank you !
Impiramine may cause constipation and urinary retention. You may need ultrasound abdomen and pelvis as well as X-ray erect abdomen to look for any such signs. Urinalysis may also be repeated and ultrasound KUB with post void volume should be assessed.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
