General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
I feel a CT scan/MRI of lower back & abdomen should be done to exclude any bony pathology. In absence of this, digestion needs to be looked into. Digestive problems can lead to malabsorption of nutrients to cause weakness, exhaustion and giddiness.
The pain in the back and abdomen is due to intestinal inflation due to gases affecting the surrounding tissue.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
