General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Vitiligo presents as white patches that looks whiter than the surrounding skin. No other symptoms such as itching or pain occurs.Other diagnosis to rule out in case of itching is fungal infection. A direct clinical examination is essential to identify the cause.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
