What Causes Lower Back Pain Along With Elevated PSA Levels?
hi, I am having pain in my lower back, kidney area. i have had elevated psa level recently, as well as hypercalcemia, both showing up during last 9 months. i have had a prostate biopsy, no issues and a lower cat scan, no issues. why the pain? also, no stones.
Thanks for asking at Healthcare Magic. I read your question and I understand your concern. High PSA level with Hypercalcemia is suggestive of lytic lesion in bones. The commonest site is lower back. As your biopsy was normal then I would suggest you to do MRI lumbosacral spine and bone scan to settle with dilemma. Hope it helps best. Don't forget to rate this answer. Take your best care. Regards Dr Ejaz
