What Causes Lower Back Pain And Burning Sensation During Urination?
74 year old female with breast cancer. Dx d May 2016. Right, simple mastectomy May 2016. No other health concerns. Oncologist stated that patient s overall health is similar to a healthy 50 year-old . ER/PR positive. HER2/NEU positive. Grade 3. Tumor size 2.6. No lymph node involvement. Currently undergoing 3rd cycle of chemotherapy. Chemotherapy cycles ordered: 6 Chemo: Carboplatin, Taxotere, also taking Herceptin (weekly) and Neulasta Last chemo cycle: August 18, 2016 Last Herceptin infusion: August 25, 2016 Current symptoms: lower back pain burning on urination urine color: yellow no fever diarrhea (this symptom was present at this time during the first two chemo cycles) Duration of symptoms: less than 24 hours Patient called oncologist to report symptoms. Patient is to call oncologist again in the morning to give an update. Patient is concerned that she may have urinary track infection. Are the symptoms listed above similar to the symptoms of a urinary track infection? Any other possibilities of what could be causing her symptoms? Any suggestions for the patient?
